Description

"Battlefield" Third photo of the series "Destruction of the War" With this detail of the church in ruins I wanted to represent the battlefield: the opponents and the violence of the confrontation. Today this battlefield is a vast silence, without the joy of the baptismal ceremonies, without life; a monument which remembers the intolerance, the avarice for the power and the money, the revenge, the contempt of the democracy that was the coup of Franco and the fascists against the democracy: the Spanish Civil War. I took this photo for the Challenge in the Photography Forum, this month "Emotions" Thanks to the people who commented on the second photo of this series "Eleven years old... [question: Why?]"

Enigmatic and conceptual masterpiece... I think perhaps as you say, we do share much in common Francesc.. The symbolism is difficult to portray so well.. It is through Art and Poetry we can remember how through our history we have failed our children.. And through it learn how to live in peace..

So wonderful at finding contrast in colors and applying your style of photography to give it a rustic feeling...adds weight to it.

I would have stand the next to you Enax, shoulder to shoulder. Its better for us to live now, but its still a strong opponent, war, fascists, dominators. I dig that emotion deeply. The shot itself shows all. Beyond excellent.
