Description


This is another Mars pic that uses an actual terrain shot of the Martian terrain. I don't know which satellite took the original photo, but it worked in making this pic. No this doesn't use the same terrain shot as "In a Martian Crater." It is a different part of the Martian surface entirely. You can see a big impact crater in the far off right hand side. Enjoy.

Great terrain and pov - highly effective. Nice surfaces and atmos - sun is perhaps a little too large given Mars' distance from the sun

We Martians would like to help you grok. Our sky, it is the correct color, and hazy as you depict. Our planet features the mesas, much like those on the horizon, and yes, we have these expansive plains. But as Eoin said, our sun is small (with a dim corona). I may beg to add that numerous rocks dot our landscape, lending it a blackish hue in places. Please grok that I very much like you image. Looking at even this, I become homesick...
