I usualy don't like 3D because it is not an artistic way to create... You just gotta be a good scientist to create nice stuff. But let me tell you that this picture is a real piece of art. The choice of the colours, the composition and the aesthetic of the planet are really moody, it provides a feeling of strenght !

Fantastic rendering!!! How did you make the planet? It's very cool. I disagree with JoeyGraphx when he says "You just gotta be a good scientist to create nice stuff." You gotta be an artist and the 3D program you use gotta be just another tool, like a pencil or a brush. Creativity comes from the artist's mind and not from a software or a piece of chalk, or bottle of ink. There are as many creative 3D artists as incompetent traditional artists.
