Description

Grivola, Gran Paradiso, as seen from the ascent to Col Entralor in the Italian Alps. ^^^^/\/\^^^^ The previous day we had descended from Col Lauson which can be seen to the right of the main peak.

I always think of the Italian Alps as softer, but this is a great shot of the fierceness they sometimes have.

This is a great picture in the classical mode. An oil by a master artist could not have been better. Many congratulations. Good foreground, balance, distance, clouds - everything!
