Description

This is my first post to this gallery. I have a little story about creating the Bat Logo. I had trouble getting the shape properly by painting it as a texture on an unrolled UV mesh since it always turned out distorted, but I also kinda wanted it to be an object on its own. What I ended up doing is: I drew half the logo with a bezier spline and dropped into a Symmetry object. Dropped that into an Extrude Nurbs object. Then took the Batsuit and the extruded logo and dropped them into a Boolean object and set it to A Intersect B. That gave me a logo object that followed the contour of the suit while maintaining the correct aspect ratio. Then I just put it in place. I thought it was cool that it all worked out, but it is probably an overly-complicated way of dealing with a simple issue, but hey...I'm just a newbie.

I agree with "Nod". This version does make the material look better versus you "2004" image. It is hard to determine which I like better though. I liked the colors of the cape on the last one.

Very nice! I would like to see a bit more detail in the gloves and utility belt. They sort of look like rubber gloves and blocks of plastic. Otherwise, very nice!

fantastic, would like to see her in a city scene, worth considering an animation as well.

i especially like the gloves' material! cool attempt with the logo, this is worth trying out! maybe the suit should be a little less tight-fitting between the breasts, i think it always looks better with some stretching creases... ;)
