I still like the picture very much, as I did initially. I like the colour a lot as well. The light here is great. It's also neat to see the departure from your norm. Good post.

Thanks, I don't intend to spend much time in color land though.

I like them both, but I think on this picture I like the black and white the best.

i'm a colorhollic myself, but this did look really good in b&w since they're a lot of grey tones in it... really an awesome shot! :]

Personally, I prefer color hands down. It's a matter of personal taste. I haven't seen your photo in black and white, but judging from the color photo, it probably turned out well. The blue sky looks a little strange, but the photograph is otherwise very beautiful. I am especially fond of that layered misty mountain look. The clouds are also pretty spectacular.

There's absolutely nothing like a desert storm operation. Well done.

ohh...this is difficult...the B&W version is nicely sepia toned...makes it feel more soft, less...threatening, almost. Whereas this shot reminds me of Lost Highway. I notice more the threat of the clouds and the bright blue glimps of sky contrasts nicely with the yellow markings. Fantastic image...and I would really like to see a few more colour...if you can possibly stand it ;)

Haven't seen the B&W pic, but this one is awesome. Love the POV, the heavy clouds and the fantastic colors! Wonderful image!

Even though a lot of your shots show how great b/w can be, i'm more of the colour-type. As others already stated, it's just a matter of personal taste. But to answer your question: this one is excellent. A cassical shot, very well done. Thank you!

This is just WOW. I love the image, the angle of the shot and yes the size of the image posted too. Large image gives a sense of realness. This one smart fits into my window so it's like I am viewing it all. Excellent work my friend.:O))

....well, -of course , it's still a great shot either way -- but ,like you, I prefer the b&w in that it's a cleaner statement -- the blue sky in this one, which looks a bit punched up , seems to pull the eye to it -- and is a little distracting.-- this one also looks a bit dark --- but the final judge for me is my gut reaction was stronger on the b&w when it popped into view.

Excellent color and powerful compo. I'll go to see the bw version because now I don't remember it but I can't imagine it better than this one, my vote, fantastic photo.

Both are beautiful in their own way.... I think I love this one just as much as the sepia toned one.

i generally like b&w but i think that the colour works better because of the deep colours. i like the bit of blue in the sky. the dynamic composition is fantastic.
