I'm a freelance graphic designer working from my home in the UK, quite a bit of my design work also features illustrations work I've done. Most of the illustrations at Renderosity all have 3D elements within them, I also create illustrations with 2D applications such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator as well as working in traditional mediums such as pencil crayon, ballpoint pen, pencil and fine liners. Awesome work! And thanks for explaining how you did it!

I'm pretty sure the hand is correct, but because the hand is semi-transparent it appears to be the wrong way round...but then again I could have cocked it up, some of the modelling was done after I got back from the pub :-)

Excellent composition!

Wow, what pateince! AN extraordinary amount of work went into this (especially if you had to render in the worlds slowest engine-Bryce); and all the effort you put forth has really paid off! I would double-vote if it would let me!

Exceptional! BTW, how did you achieve teh motion blur? Post processing?
mickusher
The blur was post-rendering in Photoshop, (couldn't suss how to get a similar effect in Bryce and I suspect if it is possible the render times would have been collossal). I Duplicated the render layer three times, used the motion blur filter and shifted it horizontally. The three blur layers were changed from normal to screen, soft light etc, then areas of those three layers were erased to make parts of the image static in order to show detailling.
