Description

The beginning of a series of Celtic landscapes. I like the "God" lighting in this one.

Nice pic Jamie. I'm particularly intrigued by the texture and what's happening at the very bottom of the image, visible mostly at the bottom left. It looks like the gray/green surface cracks open to reveal a bright green underneath. I'd be curious to fly down there with the camera to see what it looks like close-up.

The texture is interesting and has cause numerous restarts on this series. It's created using the cell component. But it caused big spikes to appear in the render even though they didn't show up in the preview. It wasn't until I figured out to put a limiting component between the cell and next structure could I control it. There is another use of it that should show up tomorrow. Thanks for the kind words.

Stunning render. I think this is one of the best Voyager images that I've seen!

if you don't mind my asking, how are you getting those rays of light to happen? Extraordinary image

The rays are an illusion created by using Scalular Clouds (designed to be used as cloud layers) in the 360 environment and layering regular clouds on top. It gives almost a volumetric effect. I'm hooked on it and will be exploring it further. You can see more in the series here... http://homepage.mac.com/jamiehaggerty/PhotoAlbum17.html
