What Does Modern War Mean

modern war means not being able to dehumanise its object anymore - the fundamental mechanism by which humanity has rationalised conflict since the beginning of war. it also means not being able to hide from its reasons. war has become conscious and accountable.

I saw a kid with a look like that on her face the other day when she scraped her knee. It's crazy how that same look cuased by an emotional reaction seems so much more intense.

modern war will be quiet and running in the background. And before you know it, it will have already taken you and will be too late. Welcome to the digital age

Modern war is simply more effective than old style style war. Is it less cruel or more cruel? The answer to that is debatable. War is about territory, a desire to own. Survival of the fittest, finding the best environment for offspring to grow up. It's an evolutionary proces in some way, it's part of our nature. Eat or be eaten, kill or be killed.

All wars are manipulated events, based on mental constructs that no longer serve our evolution. The only ones who have seen the end of war are the dead. Excellent pic!

Modern war successfully dehumanizes the enemy more so than in the past. You're shooting at each other with rifles from long ranges, dropping bombs on them from thousands of feet in the air, firing shells at enemies hundreds of yards away. It's not the same as when you had to look upon the dying expression on your enemy's face as you plunge a sword into his belly.

Excellent one! Agree with cableguy...before u could know it, everything could be tearing into pieces around you and next day u could wake up alone (not in your bed or house, maybe in your town!) - the modern war is same shit like the old wars...my opinion...***** Mihai
