Description

"Those were the stories that meant something, even if you were to small to understand why, but I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand...folks in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn't. They kept going because they were holding onto something..." "What are we holding onto, Sam?" "That there is some good in this world, Mr. Frodo, and it's worth fighting for." I think Sam is arguably the hero among heros in the LOTR Trilogy. He certainly captured my heart, as I know he has for so many others. He exemplified what true friendship is...staying even when times get rough...when he was no longer wanted...keeping his oath to the covenant he made with Frodo from the very begining of the first movie. In a day and age where selfishness gains more and more prominence, we need to see more and more people like this, whether it be in the movies or in real life! The painting done with my wacom tablet and PSP8 were the tools I used for this piece. The referenced wallpaper is from The Lord of The Rings website. I am always grateful for the time that you spend here! Thank you for stopping by...and thank you for being the kind of friends I can count on everyday in my life! Have a Wonderful and Blessed Day!...Cheryl

This again is wonderful Cheryl.. One point the left eye as we look looks out to me..Maybe too much white or too big perhaps despite the fact he is looking across..It does not detract from the overall superb painting..

Wonderful work Cheryl!!He is one of my favorite characters! I loved how he and Gollum would argue. And he was a true friend to Froddo too. Excellent as always and you always manage to put a soul in your work.

Outstanding portrait, amazing depth and lighting! This character is the very definition of "a friend that sticks closer than a brother" from the Pslams!
