My main interest in 3-D imaging is to create navigable virtual worlds which include references to real places.BIOI was born in London, England and realised that early on I appreciated space and place. When I was taken to South Africa at the early age of three, on a BOAC Lockheed Constellation I looked out of the window and said 'mummy, look - maps!' The idea of perspective and recreating reality has always fascinated me, which I did, in analogue and now digital media.

Hil, your Mum is gonna be mad when she finds out you've been playin' in the mud and made a mess of your clothes. This one looks just like a piece by Andy Goldsworthy.

Thanks for that. Voyager + AM is getting more intriguing as the days go by. In a way, you are right to associate Goldsworthy with Smithson. Goldsworthy is much more sensitive to the environment than Smithson was (he died in a light plane crash while observing his work from the air. Smithson used heavy earthmoving equipment to completely alter the terrain, whereas Goldsworthy, one of the next generation of Land Art artists (UK), always used found objects and rearranged them, or used himself in the landscape - I love his work and have one book of his art. Wonderful homage. The banded shader isn't working perfectly here. . .a little too regular in the elevation. The dimpled sand is phenomonal, though. . .you make wonderful images.

You are quite right, Croc; I was not entirely pleased with the shader for this, it still needs quite a bit of tweaking and change in colour etc. to get it to how I would like to see it.
