Description

Take this broken body of mine Take this life whose joys I was denied Take the child I have lost Take these bones that shattered Take this heart that has been ravaged so Take it all But do not burry me when I am gone I have laid down too long Burn me instead And finally let me fly free of this wretched shell -------- After having just watched the movie based on her life, the least I could do is offer this humble tribute to a truly unique artist. Just this once I'll ask you not to comment on the quality of the image, because I know it could be better. If you do wish to comment, then comment on the content. The style she painted in, it's very hard for me to immitate it, and it's even harder to immitate it in 3D. I did the best I could though. I hope you like it. --------- On the technical side. Poser, Photoshop and Lightwave were used to make this image. The heart and skeleton foot are from 3dcafe.com, the female and child are from Poser, backdrop is a photo from http://www.claymont.org/seminars.htm and the jar along with the fire were made by me. Everything was eventually added to Photoshop layer by layer.

I have been fortunate to have seen Frida's paintings at the Marco art gallery in Monterrey, Mexico where my wife is from. You have captured the essence of a Frida Kahlo painting PERFECTLY! Her paintings are amazing and so is this piece! A wonderful tribute that she would be very pleased with.

I don't know this Frida, but I have to say, this is one of the strangest images I have seen you make so far (and I don't mean that in a bad way). Great job in utilizing layers. (You need to show me how to do fire sometime). Very cool, funky image bro.
