great stuff - so you ink in photoshop i might have to try that - what dpi do you scan in at?

Yes, the inking is in ps. I don't scan, I just sketch in photoshop. Saves time. ^^

The scary thing is even before you started your shading techniques this would have been an outstanding piece of work. The last frame (color on sunset) would have been a worthy offering for anyone. How long does each step usually take you?

a question - when you ink im assuming you do it with the painbrush? - what does masking it with the pen tool mean? this is definately something i wanna try - thanks for taking the time to post your process!

hmmm. Maybe I'll just make a more in depth tutorial that also explains the pen tool. Sorry guys, I guess this only showed you the steps I took, not how to take them. Me and my crap tutorials....
