Wow, your lighting is getting really good. Everything is sharp and clearly defined. If I had to be picky I would say that she could use another shadow going towards the back. The shadow she has now shows the light coming from the left of the sceen but the reflections on her neck and collarbones show a light from the front as well. Unless she is twisted around more than it looks like to me. The only other thing I would say is that the image is so big that it is hard to see the whole thing without a lot of scrolling which makes it harder for me to get the overall effect. Having said all this, your work is really coming to life, concentrating on the lighting is adding a lot.

See unfortunately I can give you no pointers here since I struggle to find great 3d lighting myself (which is why I paint, LOL!!) You are doing amazing with your progress, Karen, good for you!!! :O)))

Fantastic pose, and I love the look of concentration on her face. About the lights: her right leg and left arm seem to be lit from below, that may be the "something not right" you describe. Her outfit looks fine, maybe some sharper edges and a tiny little bit of shadow where the white cloths meets her skin.
Splendid work, and I love it!

The lighting looks fantastic to me!! I never tend to worry about "realistic" lighting-most of my images are fantasty, so I just light what needs to be lit!! LOL!! I never could figure out those Poser lights-that's why I render everything in Bryce!!! LOL!! EXCELLENT work!!!!!

Karen, this is really awesome work, I think the lighting works really good for this composition, and your post work is really good too! I like that texture for her also, the freckles makes it not looked touched up! Her expression shows she is seriously concentrating on her form, nice touch!

I've looked at it for a long time I can't find anything wrong with it! I think she is just beautiful and so dedicated to her dance that she isn't worried about anything. Oh, to have that kind of peace! Excellent render!

Hard to pick on a near perfect project. I do agree with sdvl about left arm and the need for more of an edge between leotard and skin on primary figure(it actually seems like I see more of a difference in the reflection then in the character. Hope you can accept advice from a poor poser practioner who is happy that I haven't turned my character into a pretzel as soon as I get out of the default position. I'm always impressed by your work.
