There's stuff I really like here, and stuff that works less well. The lighting and blocking are really interesting. . .somehow, the texture isn't quite working. . .seems to be stretching. . .a kind of Y down flat mapping that doesn't work so well with very tall things. But that's being too picky-- how did you do the lights? i haven't seen that before in A/V. . .very, very cool

I actually like the texture very much on this one. It's sort of the texture of a partially burned log. Charcoal-like.

I like the scale effect. The texture could probably be improved. When I first saw the preview it had more of a glow but it wasn't the case in final render. The light is the sun reflections with a slight adjust of levels at those points in Photoshop to make them pop a bit more.

This almost has a surreal quality to it. I really like the background to this.
