heres wip from my currently active project. I am not quite satisfied with some textures and laser beams, but i keep on searching... Any ideas how to create cool laser rays?

Well let me start this out by saying this peice is excellent. Love the textures and if you don't improve on the lasers that is fine by me;-)

I wish I knew how to carry out these sugestions ... (1) the beams should be thinner -- laser light has a fine focus; (2) in labs that test laser devices, they use smoke or fine dust to check the beam locations -- adding an object with smoke would suggest the device is a WIP; (3) later, the retail box could have the lab picture -- annotated as "extensive testing".
