Here are Chuck's personal words to the community:
I am a self-taught artist, formerly working in traditional or conventional media. For the last two years I have been experimenting with CG (Computer Graphics), and trying to transition from traditional/conventional media to digital imaging. In a few words, I simply love art and always have. Many of my images are "post-worked" by hand, re-scanned and manipulated in Photoshop. On occasion, I still use pencil, Prismacolor, Silverpoint, Pen & Ink or painting to achieve the desired effect. Whether executed the "old way" or the "new way" or a combination of both, which I often fall back on.
Art is art and it is the end result that is (hopefully) appreciated.

Beautiful and a little disturbing--I'm not sure that sundial says "I count only the sunny hours!"

A very evocative image. The colors are stunning, and the mood sort of sucks you in. I'd love to see it without the rose, which seems to be of a slightly different substance than the rest of the images.

I have synthonized my inner ear and I am astounded at the symphony you've created here.

Intense sense of nostalgia, the colour appears almost a defense against those sadder memories... very evocative work.

Again, your use of color, texture, and subject matter are breath taking. I love the fact that you gave the picture the canvas look. You are so good.
