Description
As the legend goes, somewhere deep inside a mountain lies the Hall of the Titans, a place where mystical fires burn forever. In its undisturbed silence the Sword of Titans floats magically in the air, surrounded by a crown of ruby and gold. Whoever may find this hidden lair and is strong and pure enough of spirit to lift the sword from its magical encasement inherits riches and power beyond imagination...
It's a 106mb scene, quite possibly one of my best pieces yet. I seem to have a drive inside me for recreating my older works (link), feeding that fantasy demon inside us all.
Wings3D for everything you see, created by yours truly. Everything took about 24 hours to make, rendering another 12. Three spotlights with blurred shadows make this scene quite visible on my laptop screen (and I can only hope the same on regular monitors since I beefed up the brightness and contrast in photoshop). What else... the only imports are the skull from Poser, Clay's fire, the halbeard on the right and the wooden shield on the left (both taken from freebie sites). The textures are pretty much created by me as well. The only serious credit that I need to give is for the two images on the wall, and they're both from the Warcraft 3 page over at Blizzard Entertainment

WOW that's a big improvement! I like the red and gray tones of the room, the sword holder and the drawings at the wall. personally I'd make the light of the fires more intense, but it's only personal taste, the image is beautiful as it is.

Excellent work! This is a big improvement on the previous version, and has much more of a sense of being an actual place.

This blows me away Drac.... And I would probably agree with you that it is quite possibly one of your best works yet. I agree with Woodhurst in that your textures are always top end. Excellent rating and a vote from me. Keep up the good work man. 8) Hope you don't mind.... but I am saving this as a wallpaper. If you prefer I don't let me know and I will delete it from me machine.

Dark and beautiful.

Fantastic modelling Drac and a beautiful layout. The coloring is so intense and makes the place feel like you're about to have an audience with the dark lord. Spookie. 8)

Not only is the fire increadible, but the material/lighting combination doesn't even have to 'suspend disbelief' it just plain looks real.
