Description

This image was done based on suggestion from Calyxa on my last picture on 3DC. I basically did one tweek that she suggested and turned on "Recieve Shadows" in the cloud layer. Also shadows were turn on. TFV&C

I love the barely discernable features of the land. Usually a weak feature but in this case, it gives it adds mystery to the image.

I think you need to work on getting rid of those harsh lines from the shadow on the clouds in post work, unless it was your intention to show them? The rest of the image is superb. A superb image let down by some obvious flaws. Sorry to be blunt... ;)

Just to let you know, this image was done base on Calyxa suggestion on one of pictures. The shadows in the clouds is what I believe is effect. She stated the following "I think I'd like to see that w/ shadows and with 'receive shadows' checked on the cloud layer..." Maybe she was curious what the effect was.. I did think it really gives a strange effect. Maybe Mojo is handlin "Receive shadows" wrong on the cloud layer - especially if you camera is looking up to them. I place it here - just to let the people here see the effect.

Thanks for letting us see this effect Stew....I have a feeling its got some amazing possibilities...I love to see mojo-effects I have'nt tried before(especially when someone explains how they were done)....I like this render!...it's strange!!

All this picture is 3dc challenge planet 117 from Calyxa called "Magic Redowa" with both shadows turn on and "Receive Shadows" turn on in the cloud layer. It was suggest by Calyxa on one my pictures in 3dc and I try it out. It is not what I expected, I expect to see shadows on fog below the mountains and not above the moutains.
