Hi everyone,
my name is Frank.
IÂ was born 1969 in North Germany and i'm still there. I like the flat country. No Hills or Mountains. So i can see on Monday who came to visit me on Tuesday.
I'm a hobby artist. Working almost with Photoshop and sometimes with 3ds Max. And i still like to draw with a pencil on a paper... the traditional way.
But the Computer gives me capabilities i don't have with only the traditional way.
But the main thing is to have fun and joy.
Ok, than. Thank you for stopping by.
Frank

Wow! Very original! I like the idea! The "critter" in the background looks great, but the ones on the table could use a bit more photorealism to blend in with the scene. Very nice, though! More, please!

Fantastic work

oh.........Excellent...!!!!

Watch your lighting. Lighting in the room is behind you and the lighting on the robot things are different.

Yeah. Light is a nasty bitch. :) But here it's more or less correct I gues. Except for the shadow of the mech above the hand ( on the table there's to much shadow compared to the one on hand). An more blur would be also an improvement. But well I'm just picky. It's great!

Looks great, always wanted to try this composing for myself but never came this far :)

Watch out for the heat-rays :p, s'pose you could use 'em for walking micros, I also did something similar with a mini pit-droid at my desk at work (haven't posted it yet!) great concept & great camera matching :)

Very well done!!!!

Good compo ! The lighting is not that bad... it's not perfect but it is good. Just for the knowledge of people, when we make picture compositions, one thig that is quite revealing is the different of sharpness between the picture and the CG. People must pay attention to the level of sharpness delivered by the picture compression (jpeg, bmp) and the gamma of the picture. (highest level & darkest level) and the overall tint. If some attention can be made to these revealing things (with the shadows too of course) when compositing, then everybody will become a better magician ! Keep up the good work !

Looks pretty good. Are these War of the Worlds meshes? I think the lighting is OK, but the critters are way too crisp..they need to be made more noisy and blurry to fit in...they also need to be desaturated a little

Thanks for the comments and nice rankings!! Yes those are War of the Worlds meshes. I Love the Jeff Wayne Musical Version. I Agree the meshes do not fit right. I did a second, third fourth... version of the Pic but i'm not satisfied yet to post it. I'm working on.

Found this pic following a comment you left at one of mine. The real coincidence is that I went to see the man himself conducting the musical just last week - Awesome! Great pic - nicely placed fighting machines.

I popped back in your gallery to catch up a bit. I will be visiting again. This image really caught my eye because I'm a fan of War of the Worlds and I love those improbable walking machines. I love the idea of this image and its execution. Composing in this manner is always more difficult than it seems and your work here is superb. Even if there are flaws, I think the main sign of success with this image is the fact that I can look past any small flaw and enjoy the big effect. Great work!
