Description

This was a Christmas present given to me by the company I work for. The curves and detail of the watch was definately a challenge. Any comments are more than welcome and appreciated (If you've got the time [pun intended])

I know absolutely nothing about Lightwave... but I'm thinking it must have been alot of work to render this watch so nicely.... because it is a wonderful render... :)

I'm not too keen on the lighting and reflection map, but it is an excellent model. you should using HDRI to light the scene.

Nice modelling! There seems to be a part missing in the link in the upper part?? Or maybe its just me. You shoud make the glass more visible too I think. Nice. =)

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, ZLayer...there are some links missing in the upper part. I am playing with some HDRI settings now to see what kind of effect it can have. Also, not quite there with the glass. Any suggestions on how to make a nice piece of glass would be appreciated.

Beautifully modeled. The surfacing on the metal doesn't do justice to your model, and I agree that the lighting here could be improved. Perhaps an HDRI render as suggested. Traditionally though, clocks and watches are depicted at either 10 mins to 2 o'clock or 10 minutes past 10 o'clock. I guess it has something to do with the "smiley face" effect. :o)
