Description

**REPOST** Because of the "walking comment", I decided to do a screen capture of the mech in action via mid stride. Original message below. It did bring up a couple of points that I need to look at for ease of animation. That's why I love those comments. Thanks flazza. Just thought I would see how my "grasshopper" would look as a heavy mech. By looking at a variety of different styles out there, which all of them are great, I came up with this one. First mech I've tried so this concept is new to me. Other versions are in my galleries. There are actually three different styles I'm working on. Thanks to audity for using his background, a true C4D master. C&S are always welcome.

Nicely done! Is that a star in the background?

That's a lot better modelling wise, I think that the legs should be reversed though as I cannot actualy think how he would walk without falling over.

Im still gonna stick with what i said and tell you that I think the stride goes too far up (B&W pic). what you call mid-stride should, by my books, be just about full extension

Thanks everyone for the comments. I will take them all into consideration. As for the stride, I wanted to show that this model is posable in a running stance as per flazza comments. I over exagerated the leg a little to show the capability. How much one decides to kick that leg up will be entirely up to them. ;o) But the possibilities must exist.

Excellent model! I am in awe of folks who can make things such as this. Beautifully done!

Looking great. The untextured one looks like "full" stride lol. I watched a friend play Mech Warrior once and each step shook the controls, wonder how much shacking is going on here. Excellent model and its getting beefed up alot too I see.
