Description
The joys of summer sit silent and still in the icy grip of winter.
I spotted this little craft while on a walk around Kaivopuisto in Helsinki. The little harbor next to Uunisaari is surrounded by boats, big and small, some carefully put to bed for the winter and others left to the elements, appear all but abandoned.
I felt sad when I saw this little boat. It was as if it was calling out so as not to be forgotten. I took several shots of it so it wouldn't be.

I love boat shots like these, wonderful find indeed...maybe something you can go back to through different seasons. I agree about the background being a little bit of an eye sore, not sure if you know how to postwork it out or if you like as it is. However still a beautiful picture!
