The artist is not a person endowed with free will who seeks his own ends, but one who allows art to realize its purposes through him. As a human being he may have moods and a will and personal aims, but as an artist he is 'man' in a higher sense - he is 'collective man,' a vehicle and molder of the unconscious psychic life of mankind. (Carl Jung, Psychology and Literature, 1930)

A wonderful still life....like the dramatic lighting and textures.

This is a great shot. if you are shooting with black and white neg film, then you should really look at experimenting with coloured filters. the kind that screw directly onto your lens. Stick with the primary colours, red, blue and green. These filters will dramatically alter your image appearance. there are lots of books on using filters with black and white films. Just remember that these filters will cut the amount of light down considerably and you'll need to compensate for that. but i think you will like the results very much. keep up the good work.
