Description

still trying to find more variations in backgrounds for nice flames...If anyone can give me hints about formulas in UF that are compatible with Apo, I would love to hear about them... Big hug for reward...;-))

Don't have a clue about formulas but this background is great for this fractal. The broad, expanding stripes provide a great contrast for the lightness and delicacy of the flame. Nice compostion, very well done!

I don't know either Henny, but I do know this is a beautiful flame image. Great colors and design!

This is very nice. The background fits the flame. I too, have a hard time finding suitable backgrounds in UF for my flames.

I like it very much Henny. I can't give you formulas for backgrounds because I don't use a PC but rather a Mac and so I don't have access to APO or UF. Nevertheless, I believe the success of this background lies in its muted echo of the flame's colors and its seeming to be out of focus. The latter quality gives the piece a sense of depth because the flame is so detailed and sharp compared to the fuzzy and muted background field. You probably could achieve a similar success with many different background designs as long as they had that out of focus and muted color quality.

Sorry I can't help with the backgrounds, but I like what you did with this one. It works realy well with that lovely flame.

It's a lovely background which sets the flame off perfectly. And - if this is an experiment it is a resounding success. Wonderful! Jenny)

Often the best backgrounds for flames are the texture type formulae, like the sfbm's and the gaussian integer types. Using a variant on the colors in the flame helps to tie them together. This one is lovely. :)

Wonderful flame - I love the glow and wraith-like vibe to the shape. Excellence! (try overlaying a Julia spiral fractal with soft edges over flames - sometimes looks great with triangle inequality or softly defined doodads)
