Description

An immature bald eagle riding out a southeast gale. Strangely, while seagulls seem to fly in storms for the sheer joy of it, eagles take to the air reluctantly when it's windy. This eagle could be anywhere up to four years old, it's in their fifth year that the head and tail turn white. Thanks for looking, comments welcome.

Great shot, I must say he/she does'nt look too pleased. So I am told they dont like the strong wind because it makes it dificult to manouver due to their size and weight!?

This is my favorite of the eagle series so far Jim...Looks so majestic perched up there. Alot of people, including me, mistake these for Golden Eagles.
