Description

This is a small dhow similar to those that used to trade all along the African coast. Mast, sail and standing rigging I "kit-bashed" from De Espona's Spanish Felucca model, the San Juan, which was a freebie on the net for some time. For the running rigging, hull & details, some parts were made in 3DCad, some with Bryce primitives, assembled in Bryce 5. The town in the background was made mainly with terrain units. No postwork except for signature. It seems I'm still building boat models like I did when I was a kid, only now instead of taking parts out of a box, painting and gluing them together, I do it all 'in' the box.

Yeah I was a major model boat maker when I was a kid and I bloody loved it! If there's one thing in a Bryce pic I like now, it's a boat, and when it's in water realistic as it is here, it only makes it look even better. Excellent work!
