Description

It got down to -14 F today, brrr! This was taken in the Manistee National Forest in Michigan, where I live. I trudged a couple miles through the snow before I finally found what I was looking for. I wanted a scene that looked almost monochromatic, just various shades of the same color. I also wanted it to look like the atmosphere was settling on and encasing the landscape, which is exactly what was happening. Thank you for taking the time to give me your feed back, I appreciate it!

Thank you everyone! 4142 you should be careful what you wish for ;) I was in Miami and then Tampa Bay recently. On the day I left from Michigan the coldest spot in the US was Gaylord,MI at -15 and the warmest was Tampa Bay,FL at 85... so it was a 100 degree temperature shift from MI to FL. I think there would have been a lot of really disappointed people if I'd brought the snow with me :)
