First in! Mhm, Some new style, eh? Lightning is awesome, but the water in the right Glass could be better. mfg

Venturing into my arena, I see. LOL. Yeah, the 8.5 advanced renderer would help with objects that exhibit SubSurfaceScattering, like wax, for sure. Also, really dark scenes with clear glass like this are diffiicult to get right because of glass's reflective and refractive properties. It just takes some experimentation. The candle and flame look terrific; the water needs a hydrostatic curve at it's edges. Glad to see you doing this type of stuff.

Thanks for your comment LCGuy! I dont want to stick to just one theme and as much fun as weapons, cyberpunk and science fiction are too me, I really love still life and athmospheric mood pictures. Normally I just dont post them because I feal they look to crappy. Now I would be really thankfull if you could tell me (perhaps as private message) what a hydrostatic curve is, so that I can get that water better. :D

HEHE, hey VOID, no Guns :-). Cool. I really like it, the Image has a good warm atmosphere. The Glass Textures and Candletextures are also quite good. But hey i think you forgot to turn the Antialising on :-).

This picture is almost photorealistic! But I prefer the weapon/action pictures ;-)

Thats a really nice picture. I have to agree that it got a very warm athmosphere. Sure guns are cooler, but nevertheless it's a wunderfull piece of work ;) So I say: Thumbs up!

The wax near the flame should be much brighter and shiney. The reflections on the glasses should be darker (not as bright as the flame itself).
