Description

"...as the colonists approached their last obstacle, the daunting wall of Tribulation Pass, many began to regret the weight of supplies that the Colonial Office required them to carry. Many gave up on the climb and settled for lands in the barren low country. Others, with more money than physical ability, paid enterprising porters to help them up the slope. Often these porters made their fortunes this way--warren rats from the broken towers of LaCa, N'Yack, Nowleens and Meeya Meefla had earned their passage fees by climbing the decrepit highscrapers of the city warrens for salvage, and building their legs and lungs in the bargain."
