Description

Hi this is my first full scene done in lightwave and my first post here, I hope to get some helpful critique from you guys. Any ideas on what I could do to improve the scene will be very welcome, I know the lighting could do with a lot of work but I thought I would post it anyway to see if I can get any helpful advice on how to finish this scene of... All comments welcome. Thanks

Good first posting! I will offer my critique. First thing that caught my eye was the water reflection. It seems really bright for the darker sky you have in the background. Try reducing the amount of reflection (or if you want, use the sky as your reflection map) Secondly, the flower petals seem flat and uniform. Try to break them up a bit for that nature look. Other than that, looks good. Keep up the good work!

Terrific first image! :o) My helpful hint would be about the grass... the blades you have in the water and the grass you have on land are completely different. It might be good to use more than a few color instances of SasLite to give your grass a more natural look. And, yes... the lighting :o)
