Description
In the full moon light
The beast of night arises
And hungers
For the very essence of us
That keeps us whole
As though on wings
He flies in the hunt
A bat
Silent sonar
Knowing that
Of which he seeks
The insects of the earth
And with seductive charm
And pleasant voice
Lures to a trap
The very mortal
Who never thought
To kiss his kids goodnight
Taking the life and death
Both
The being sighs
In sweet satisfaction
The mortal now
With broken soul
Cries bloodstained tears
Never again to see

I think this poem requires a graphic. It seems like you're doing a dracula type story, but the focus is a little soft...it left me a little confused. Poetry has to grab that focus in the first stanza in the case of this poem the first four lines.

I write to read btwn the lines. I don't like having things obvious. I want readers to interpret my work however their minds see it.
