Description
This is part of an animation I'm doing for a client. The subject is about the Renaissance and the advances in technology. So this is what I came up with in Carrara. Thought I'd share with everyone.

Thanks for the comments. SHONNER, yes the reflections on the metal are brighter, I designed it that way to make you focus on the instruments more than the light source. In the final animation you only see the candles for about 2 seconds. sailor_ed, no it doesn't have to be historically accurate. This was designed to give the impression that seafarers have confidence in their maps and instruments. So I choose iconic instruments that everyone recognizes.
