I would have liked to see either more of her profile ... or less (a close-up of her eye). You were close enough to capture her sadness though. She looks cognizant of the fact that her species is threatened with extinction. I hope her keepers are not abusive, and she isn't lonely.

This elephant is one in a family of elephants in the zoo in Roterdam. They have much space outside. So maybe she is not sad but philosophical.
