Description

This image began two years ago when I was reading Owen Demers "Digital Texturing & Painting" and using this composition to practice his techniques with. But it was only this weekend when I added the final touches to call it complete. :)

Book models are a freebie from McV with my textures.
Figurine is a commercial model with my pedestal, wings and texture.
Rose model was a freebie from Zygote/DAZ with my textures.
Ducky model is a freebie from Bloodsong with my textures.
Dreamcatcher model is a freebie from 3D Cafe with my textures.

All else was modeled and textured by me using Ray Dream Studio, Carrara, ShapeMagic, UV Mapper Pro and Paint Shop Pro. Rendered in Vue d'Esprit 4.

Special thanks to Quoll and Steve Cox for their excellent tutorials and tips at RDNA and UVMapper.com.

Wow!! I had to look twice at this to be sure it was not a photograph. Fantastic attention to detail, and I love the "Neverending Story" book, that's one of my favorite movies. ;)

Well modeled, lit and arranged. This is outside of my usual subject matter, but I can't help but admire it nonetheless.

Very realistic and kind of sad too because you've spent so long on something that you've finally said goodbye to. Well done!

Very impressive. The concept of working on something for two years is way beyond my understanding. I suppose perfection takes some time ( alot of time) and this is amazing. Great details and the variety of surfaces is incredible. Excellent work!
