Description

This has taken approximately 40-50 hours to do. I texturized the entire Aircraft Carrier and every single one of it's planes over 100 things to do there. I did the wakes by hand as well as the waves as I took suggestions from previous postings. And texturized the battleship as well. I took the advice of the people that viewed the Work In Progress image of this (I now think it sucks) and lowered the height of the carrier's deck. I hope you all enjoy this as much as I did creating it. It's a good thing I have multiple computers otherwise this would not have gotten done. Thank you for your views.

Am I done yet?

VEEEEERRRRRYYY nice. If you still want to do some work on this, about the only thing I would do is tex the cruiser between the BB and the CV. Not much mind you. Just enough to tone down the reflections a tiny bit. I don't think it should be as reflective with the sun behind the whole scene. In fact, you could probably do it as post without too much effort. Again, only if you are determined to do more work on this. It's fine right now.

You've come along way.. though I think if you toned down the sunspot a bit.. maybe some sunset orange, the focal point would come back to the ships, I played around a bit with lighting if you would like me to email what I did to you, just message me :) You're doing fantastic on this Kid~!

Kid, if you're looking for suggestions, I've got one. I'm sorry to say that your aircraft carrier is too tall. Carriers are usually wide, long and squat. I've seen enough of them on film and in real life to know that the one that you have in your image is too tall. Sorry to send you back to the drawing board, but you sound like you want to get this one just right!

Wow, it was sure interesting seeing the genesis of this project! Turned out very nicely! I don't know if Miden is right about the carrier... It was definately wrong in some of the earlier versions, but I think it looks pretty good now!

Here is yet another with an almost perfect side view from the vantage point of the water. It's a little closer distance wise so zoom out a little and you have what I have. http://www.chinfo.navy.mil/navpalib/ships/carriers/g-washington/gw-med.jpg

In future versions there will be a lot of things happening. It won't be the exact setting....a complete re-render from another viewpoint and possibly some gunfire. The firing is the whole reason I wanted the battleship in the first place. To blow things up with really big explosions. It is my gateway and reason. They just have to get there first.

WWWOOOOOOOWWWW! What a lot of work on this one. I really like the water. The sky is a bit jaggy, but it adds to the overall look. I think I'd get a headache after just 5 minutes of working on water like you did for this image(but it probably is partially the poor quatility of my monitor that would be mainly responsible for that). Shademaster is right about adding flying jets.
