Description

I was expecting a visit from one of Big Sidney's goons that night, but she walked in first. She stood there like she owned the place. Maybe she did; I figured her fancy Italian shoes alone cost more than my rent. She looked me over from top to bottom and back again. "Are you Manley?" she asked, her voice a husky melody that turned my knees soft. "Yeah," I told her, "but I have a sensitive side, too." She smiled, and my heart went pitter-patter. "I have a proposition for you." I wasn't sure I wanted to hear it. I'd seen her face before, on the society pages. Her name was Patricia Hart, and that started with P and that rhymed with T and that stood for Trouble... An image I put together for the "Film Noir" challenge at DreamSlayer Artworks. Enjoy! Excellent,... black/white can still be seen on TCM and this scene would fit in 'cept that she's a little underdressed. :-) Love the scene and witty reparte.
