Yeah, I used that in Bryce... But what's the trick with projected image?
nick2k
now that my friend is a secret :) nah just kidding i used a projected image through a spotlight to add a slight diffrence to the light colour and intensity, if you look closely you can see the darker areas across the wooden floor, its not much but it does help with get that extra bit of realism.

I'm a begginer & haven't done anything that took over a couple of minutes to render. 6 hours, God what am I getting into? excellent work by the way
HybridSoul
damn thats sweet great tetures and this one looks better then the radiosity one by far
MrWyatt
Damn you have to tell me how this lightning technique works. Im begging on my bloody knees, tell me!!! ;)
Felderin
Radiosity is nice, but it's not the only way to get the job done, as this image shows. Good work!

Hey MrWyatt once i get my website up and running i will have a zipped version of this scene along with a lighting tutorial online for anyone who wants to know how todo this, hopefully my site will be up before the of july fingers crossed. Anyway thanks for the comments guys :)

You are definately on to something. This is similar to the technique I tried in Bryce, but the sheer number of lights made the render too painful to consider. Must try this in LW. Thanks for the inspiration!

I like innovative folks. I'm just a youngin (19) and I had a similar idea when I was bored in drafting class and I rendered a high res pen of mine using 25 omni lights in Autocad 2000... got a surprisingly good result considering that rendering wasn't the program's strong point. Feel free to peek at my site and see what I mean...

Looks very natural. The textures are perfect and the lighting is just awesome.
