Good work in the top half, but I think the bottom half let's it down. There is not enough definition in the black area and it desn't show what is the subject and what is the surroundings.

Great portrait!! And society is to blame for all the beautiful woman who have been made to feel they don't "Measure up". You're friend is beautiful, and you have echoed that in your great portrait!!
