The contrasts, color -- blending both subtle and sharp. Very nice.

Looks like a wonderful airbrush painting, like an Olivia or an Vargas. The lighting is superb!

I second L.W. Perkins' lighting comment - I think the lighting here is phenomenal - I'm wondering if you could tell me a little more about it? Awesome job!!

Lighting... it started out as the simple 3-point light set available on my homepage, but the infinite lights showed too much of the floor, so I set them to spot lights and changed the orange fill light (coming from lower rear, right) to a more pinkish hue to accent the wine glass and her lips. I think I left the blueish overhead light the same, aside from setting it to a spotlight. For the primary light, I pointed it at her neck and adjusted the position and 'Dist End' param a bit to get the amount of floor lit that I was after, but it didn't really show the face, eye and lip detail that I wanted, so I added another spot light in a similar position, but with an even shorter 'Dist End', so it didn't afffect the floor. The primary light is the only one casting a shadow, which is set to ray-traced.
Some of the apparent 'lighting' might really have more to do with the postwork steps I do (duplicate layers, set to 'soft light' (blurred)and 'screen' (sharpened) at varying amounts of opacity). There's a mini-tutorial on my homepage on this, but a more recent one can be found here:

One final contributing factor is in how the materials are set up in Poser 5/firefly... I've been working on a P5 upgrade set of MAT files (and mt5 files) for my Ember package that are being used in my recent renders.
Thanks for the comments, everyone!
