Description

*Sky's closed, it won't open for my day. I feel like everyone's just ready to joke me, to hurt me, to laugh at what I am, to dismiss what I could be. The flowers never grow here the birds can't sing my songs... I am the mud. Still I don't wanna believe that there's not a piece of sky which could open for me, to let the sun caress my face, so pale, too pale, while all I'd like is to be taken, kissed by the sun, kissed by sweet lips, kissed by that care I'm not gonna give up to finally meet. But sky's closed and I am the mud. I hear the laughes, I hear the jokes... Too many faces, too many forces: you've dried my hopes like devil's morphings: takin one sweet glimpse of eyes into dreadful offsets, you're one, you're hundreds, you make my sky get doomed, you make my flowers looming. I hear the jokes, they make me cry... When's gonna happen that I'll get those smiles to clear my dark sky that hides sun's rayes?* ------------------------- Photoshop. Frome these sources. Thanx tattoedravengirl for givin me inspiration for the illustration of this poem. One hour and half work. ------------------------ The third piece of my series dedicated at illustrating my old poems written by 1996/1998. Again this is not meant to be a portrait, just a photoshop excercise. I wanted to give a framed, static expression to an doubting, turning into depression state of mind, still with certain colours to underline a no better defined hope still present in the frame, although very gloomed down by the unacceptance of the positivity of the self ... I also wanted to compose it in a bit of urban, graffiti-like touches, suggestin a sort of negative psychedelia turning into decorative fixicity.Basically the denying of the youth vitalism, through young codes. The mood is again low one. Which was common bread by my 19 (but luckely not anymore.. that's why I keep posting this series: look how negative I was, and imagine if I could findhappines back, evryone can :)) ;) So once more..."Enjoy" :)

I think you have done a lovely job of catching the turbulent angst of youth. It is so harsh and raw

OH beautiful! Your poem and image are wonderful. Your poem reminds me of how I felt when I had to go to my gloomy office where I wasn't appreciated. I never thought the sun shone over that place ..to me the sun never did shine until I got home and could see my sweet husband. Beautiful Meli hon. HUGS

I am glad to see she is outside. Some of the less fortunate are trapped inside and don't even know if the sky is open or not, or if it even exists anymore. The character in your beautiful render has ventured out and sees that there is a sky, even if she doubts it's open-ness to her. She looks cautiously wide-eyed and unsure of what she sees and hears. Yet I see a strength in her expression, even if she wonders if she is mud. This is a beautiful image you have created. I think the colors you chose are perfect for her mood. I love your poem even if it sad and reveals to us the deep pain you once held. Thank you again for sharing of yourself to us. I am very happy that you have passed the negativeness and found happiness, Meli. Big Hug & Smile
