Description

Well, this is my first post here :) I just played with this image, first as you see the original work in the corner was made in terragen (one of the first renders aswell) then I made the smoke and vulcano "effect" in photoshop. It's not finished yet as you can see, I want your comments now :) * perhaps there's to much smoke and black areas, I just heard that comment from a friend, however, I'm going to fix it one day, now to your comments :) *

It's not that it's too much smoke, the smoke is just going in too many directions. Plus the light seems to be coming from two diferent directions...one from the horizon, and one from behind the P.O.V. However, it is a very good render, I love the fire effects.

thx! the picture isn't even 20% finished so, I made that in lika 20 minutes or something, just wanted to see if I could come close to the "effect" from the movie :) and I will fix all of that on another image which I'll be working on for a while, this is just a test, thx!

Not bad, keep going. I really like the sky in the original though. It's difficult to get such a nice gradient of colors. Don't dwell too much on one picture either. Keep creating :D Cheers!

Cool picture - lighting's great, although agree with Revnooks comment. With a dark render, it's always difficult to get the lighting just right. This is an excellent picture though, and I think you've captured the movies essence. Next time, might want to add a thumbnail though - tend to get more viewings with a thumb. Excellent job.
