Description

This is a litter of infant squirrels. There were 5 of the babies and it took the longest time to finally capture all 5 in the same image. They are emerging from a hole in the crotch of the tree where their den was. At first they were extremely cautious of the world around them. Every little noise or motion would send them diving back into the tree, usually with hilarious results as they collided at the hole. As the weeks wore on they got increasingly bolder as they explored the world.

Wow!!!! How very darling ! I love this picture ,. so full of little babies :D I imagine you must have waited quite awhile for them to pop out of there :P Wonderful shot!
