Description

Potential cover art for a book titled "RAZORBACK." I have a fair amount of tweaking yet to do on this wooly lil'fella, his right ear is supposed to be mostly missing so I'm trying to come up with something that looks good for that.

The ear? Get rid of anything specular or visible. Leave it just plain dark, cut out any blood, just use the shortened ear with some hairs, de-highlight it and highlight the uncut one. Remember, less is better, and howdoisaythis.. balancing your image so that the viewers eye has to look again to see something is wrong. For me your focus is too much on the ripped of ear. Leave it the way it is withouth the bloodstuff. Highlight the other ear instead. (oh I just wrote that DoH!) Nice job though!

Razorbacks (mythical) traditionally have red hair. Or maybe those were just the ones in Arkansas. ;) Agree with riko, would be nice to see the other ear. The contrast would help the storyline come across. Especially to people who don't know what a hog's ear should look like. Can you share a little more detail on the project? I have a vested interest in hog lore.
