Description

With LOTR cleaning up at the Oscars, I thought I'd post this image I've been working on a long, long time (months). Bryce 5 render, Poser with very little post processing (touch ups and softening only in Photoshop). Used various freebie buildings and bridges to construct Rivendell (mostly from Pinhead). Some volumetric foliage in the valley. Hope you enjoy, it was alot of work. Thanks as always, Mario.

Sweet dude...absolutely sweet!! And to think, i stay up all night, if i have to, reading the LOTR books. I read them at least 6 times a year, every year, since 1993. I am astonished tho, that your work here could ever resemble the hard working of that Tolkien dude, who thought of all this in his head!! :D Your work surprises me much, but this...this is a masterpiece that even the Tolkien family can't refuse to have in the home. You have my vote, and im taking this, putting it on my desktop and telling my friends about it!! Great JOB!!

I was just thinking...this image is more what I imagined Rivendell to look like when I read the books. Sometimes the movies take away from what you origionally imagined. Again, this is a wonderful job.

Awesome work, I'm impressed with all the greenery, and your clouds are WONDERFUL! Very detailed and imaginative, and very close to what I envisioned Rivendell to look like, as well!

O.M.G. this is awesome! There's no 'Perfect' ranking or I would have chosen that! You never cease to amaze me! I think this is your best one yet. I know what you mean about projects taking longer and longer, but I think this is worth it. What was the original render size? Did you offer it on Zazzle? Would make a wonderful print.
