Description

I had the idea - from whatever murky and forgotten ideologies - that I should show some kind of development in my work, but I have to cut that short, because these incredible images have started jumping out of my monitor. So I'll just show you some of - what I consider to be - the better stuff I made recently. This one is called "Gestalt", which is a German word meaning amongst other things "an unknown person, which cannot be identified clearly". It also means how others see a person. And stuff like that. Anyhow, I rather like this image, made in Apophysis 2.15, no post processing except adding name. Thanks for your interest! Jan.

superb, my friend. Der Titel und das Bild sind wirklich ein Knaller. einfach und schlicht aber so wunderbar, kraftvoller symbolischer Character, das ist das schwierigste an allem. !!!!!!! #:O) !!!!!!!

Excellent title. It looks like a figure meditating, to me. Very unusual.

Brilliant. Even on the thumbnail, the crouching and huddled figure stands right out. :)

I love these evocative sorts of images. This one somehow makes me think of a shy penguin, but not in a funny, cartoon sense, but rather in a sensitive and thoughtful one.
