In a street of a town; Of a life or two or a thousand.

Battles are fought in flame and concussion and on laps where sand and oil don't mix.
Where sand and oil don't mix. The gears of that world failing and frozen and pins that won'tt move and cries that aren't heard in the sand that is free
Free to mix with the wind for a time and escape a capture in oil and blood.

Like voices going on and on in the dusted air past imaginary vultures perched on satellites and looking down at a weeping soldier, hardly flinching a feather when it hears.
