Description
Created for the April 2000 Hash Inc. image contest using AM '99
Interestingly, this image was created without using A:M's built-in radiosity - instead I placed two additional light sources in the room, one just inside the window and one on the floor where the light hits it.
The odd angle of light coming in through the window was intentional - if you examine the dojo scene from the Matrix you will find the same situation. Yes, I know about the misaligned window, if I ever get around to re-rendering this image at a higher res I'll fix that along with countless other things.

Great Image. Very nice use of lighting and shadow. Nice textures and a very good overall aesthetic feel to the whole thing. You must have worked very very hard! Just one thing stands out to me... tatami mats (the floors) are 2m x 1m.. which means, typcially they should "tile" like bricks. That is, if that's suppose to be tatami. grin

Superb. Utterly Flawless. This is a great piece of work. The thing that caught my eye at first was the excellent lighting, then I looked closer and noticed the little details, such as the swords in the glass. Very Nice! -Hialo
