The expression is wonderful: the slight tuck of the lower lip and the lines under the eye is so true to life!
The coloring (tonalities) make for a very melancholic picture. The foreground and background quality help reinforce the emotion of sadness on her face.
The black spider webbing also give a lost and forlorn feel.
4.Only having one eye visible is a nice touch --puts the focus right where is should be.
