In its silver silhouette
And the first star appears
As the nightlight
Of the world
I hear the running
Of melted snow
In the distant stream
Soothing and sweet
The forest is quiet
For it is not yet spring
And nightly creatures
Yet still slumber
In winter beds
{Save for the lonely moth
Lost in confusion
Searching for
Summer
